Need advice. I have some panels for my Murphy Rebel kit that have surface corrosion from bird droppings (they were stored in a barn....).
I've scotchbrighted using maroon pads, cleaned with Stewart systems eckoetch and cleaner, but there is still roughness. Should I use fine sandpaper to smooth it out the rest of the way before painting, or should I just go ahead and prime it? Second question: none of the spots corroded all the way through. In fact, the roughness seems to be proud to the undamaged surface. Should I lay down some epoxy to reinforce the spot or even epoxy on an aluminum patch over the spots?
