I have always been fascinated with float planes, spent quite a bit of time in them in Alaska (Otters, etcs) but when you want to fly your UL or Experimental plane, say, from Minnesota across the Canadian border to go fishing, what is the procedure for that? Is that complicated?

Secondly, wanting to fish remote lakes up there, how do you find and secure ample fuel for your trips out to the outer lakes? Do you just plan your trips around marina's so that you can land, fuel up and go from there? If you are from out of the area, how do you find places to fuel up or dock? Is this a matter of Mapquest and Google now?

Thanks!
