What if any issues can come from not building the wing spar from wing skin to wing skin(top to bottom)? I will post some CAD screen shots when I get home. I have one design with a traditional wing spar/rib setup but I am working on one where the C type wing spar sets into the middle rib and the ribs touch over the spar caps making a smoother airfoil shape instead of a "flat" spot. I don't like the fact that the spar between each rib isn't attached to the skins in any way though but wanted to ask for input.
