HI, I AM NEW HERE AND LOOKING FOR ANY INFO ABOUT MY 618 THAT IS GIVING ME FITS. W/O PROP AND WITH A NEW TOP END (COMP. 125 LB) GOOD COMPRESSION, WILL RUN GREAT W/O PROP. RUNS STRONG, IDLES GOOD, TAKE THROTTLE WELL ETC. PUT PROP ON AND TROUBLE STARTING, KILLS, WILL NOT RESTART W/O STARTING FLUID. I HAVE GONE FROM AIR SILENCER TO KN FILTERS. ALL NEW JETTING PER SHEET W/O SILENCER. AFTER IT DIES OR SHUTTING OFF ENG. IT WILL NOT START W/O STARTING FLUID. IT DOES TRY TO START WITH A POP HERE AND THERE BUT WILL NOT CATCH.

IT, TO ME, IS A FLOODED ENGINE STARTING PROBLEM. NEW JETS IN ALL LOCATIONS, CORRECT NEEDLE CLIP LOCATION SAME A RECOMMENDED. WITH A LITTLE STARTING FLUID IT WILL START RIGHT UP. IT WILL IDLE BETTER WITH THE IDLE SCREW AT 2 TURNS, RATHER THAN 1 1/2 TURNS BUT WILL NOT TAKE FUEL (THROTTLE INCREASED) AND BOGS.

SHOULD I GO THROUGH THE TROUBLE OF CHECKING CRANK SEALS??

ANY IDEAS?? DON'T WANT TO TRY FLY IT WITH THIS SITUATION.
