With respect to a turbocharger system on a homebuilt airplane, should there be an sir filter downstream of the turbocharger (between the turbo and the intake fuel servo)?

I was wondering about what would happen if the turbo impeller were to rub against the casing or otherwise begin to erode its blades then any metal material will find its way into the cylinder(s).

Does anyone have any turbo system design experience they can share?

THANKS!!!
