Hi, my name is Scot, I've bn fascinated with ultralights from a young age. I've always wanted one, just never had the time or opportunity. I think I am now to a point in my life that I can finally stop dreaming and start flying. I've bn doing some research and I believe I've came to a conclusion on a few things.

1) I'm going to nd some pilot training(not trying to crash and burn).
2) I want a part 103 ultralight, or close to it. I understand the weight
can be an issue(not looking to get a license).
3) I want to build it myself from plans(not a kit).

In my searching, I've decided that I like the style of the Sportlite 103, Quicksilver Sprint, Aerolite 103, ect. I think I will like the rear mounted motor better than the front mounted one(open to suggestions). With never having bn in one, I would think it adds more wind in my face than I'm already going to have. I would like to be able to put floats on it(I understand that this doesn't count on the weight) seeing how I live in Florida and water is always readily available and will be my main launching and landing point.
I'm very handy and I feel my skills are good enough that I can handle any plans out there. However, I don't want some crappy plans that look 1/2 completed. I'm not an engineer and I don't want to have to modify anything. I understand this can cause issues and in the air isn't the place I want added issues.
Any help as to where to find good plans(paid or free) would be greatly appreciated. I am also open to any advice and all opinions. Thank you all for your time, help, and efforts in advance. Scot
