I have seen N-numbers that do not meet the letter of the law (no pun intended). Has anyone here had any experience with the FAA regarding N-numbers that are not strictly compliant? Anybody bold enough to state how far they've stretched the FAR requirements? (Please note that I am not advocating nor asking anyone to report his own illegal activity; I only want to explore the size of the gray area surrounding FAR45/AC45-2D, if any.)
