I am currently rebuilding a wood wing. I had to remove the top plywood that was glued to the spars. Now I am having to plane the plywood down to the spars. I am finding this very difficult without nicking the spar with the planer or chisel. I am also trying to figure out how I can get a good long straight edge on spars for when I glue the new plywood on. Thanks.
