( Boy, am I ever picking these guys brains or what!)

My Baby Lakes has conventional Piper cub type gear. There are several sources that supply solid spring aluminum gear like Cessna's for the Baby Lakes. I would like to go with this type gear.

How do I attach these? I've looked for sites with aircraft with similar gear but none have shown the mounts uncovered. Do I use big U bolts? Does the gear rest directly on the lower longerons? Do I need to bolster the longeron area? I know drilling is verbotten.

I know there's gotta be someone out there that knows how this is done.
