The Musée Régional de l’Air (Regional Air Museum) in Angers, France is unusual in its focus on primarily light aircraft. The museum, also known as "Espace Air Passion" or "Passion for Aviation Place," hosts an impressive collection of pre-WWII and post-WWII light aircraft, both factory machines and homebuilts, as well as a French military light aircraft.

FritzW contacted me about the museum's documentation service and, since I suspect others would also be interested, here is a quick translation of centre de documentation - Musée Régional de l'Air

DOCUMENTATION CENTER
Access to the documentation center is free, but only by appointment.

Second only to the Regional Air Museum's aircraft collection, its archives are one of the largest in Europe. Focused on civil and military light aviation, the collection is also open to other forms of aviation. This impressive document collection includes photos, plans, technical manuals, administrative archives, newspapers and magazines, books and historic documents. In the process of being digitized, the majority of these archives are easily accessible thanks to a digital database. The Regional Air Museum's advisors and archivists are at your service to guide your research. You can contact them at +33 9 66 83 04 10 (Office of the Technical Director).

REPRODUCTION FEES:
A4 photocopies: 0.25 € per page
A3 photocopies: 0.50 € per page
CD or DVD: See below.

Certain plans sets have been digitized in order to preserver our aeronautical heritage. They includes not only the plans, but also, whenever possible, the technical manuals and airworthiness directives specific to each aircraft. These documents are made available on digital media (CD or DVD) in exchange for a donation to defray the costs of digitization.

I have copied the three lists of available documents (airplanes, gliders and engines) and put them in the attached text file. There are items of interest to many on this forum, including powered and unpowered Fauvel flying wings, Gardan Minicab and other Gardan designs, the Mauboussin Hémiptère tandem-wing, and many more.

Cheers,

Matthew

PS--I have no connection to the museum and no idea how complete these documentation sets really are, I am just sharing this information.
