What makes an oxy-acetylene torch pop during welding? How do I prevent it. There is minimal sparking from the weld, good puddle, the torch is not loud. The torch is a Meco Midget, and I have tried a range of tips, still it goes POW! blowing little bits of molten steel all over. Any suggestions?
