Still trying to wrap my head around it, as long as I've been into aviation this is the first time I've lost anyone personally. Known a lot of people who've been in crashes, some very serious, but never a death. Mike Fjetland used my home strip for touch and go practice just about every nice day. My kids got really good at recognizing his Husky with the tundra tires. He was flying to his vacation place in AZ and apparently went down after takeoff coming out of Los Alamos NM Sunday morning. Hope we can figure out what went wrong, but he came down in rough terrain and plane was destroyed by fire, so we may never know for sure. Just needed to vent a bit, hope no one minds.
