Here's a thought: SLS-printed new engine blocks for warbird engines, say for "new" Merlin engines. A friend and I have been tossing this idea around for a couple days and we think we can build a big enough machine to do this. The question is, what would be necessary to get this new block certified? Do we need to even do this, as it is not a new design, just a new manufacturing process? and would there be a big enough market? We'd appreciate input.
