Has anyone had experieince with getting their tubing fishmouthed by a plasma/laser cutter on a CNC machine?

The price of homebuilt CNC machines is dropping all the time and at least one is available which will do this. It seems the ultimate way to notch your tubing; provided you put in your numbers correctly the whole thing should just slot together with zero fiddling around. It ought to be child's play for the software and accuracy doesn't need to be greater than maybe 0.030"-0.060", which is nothing for a CNC machine, even a homebuilt one. Certainly ought to exceed a hacksaw and a file.

Does anyone have one of these machines like the 'Torchmate"?

Another interesting find: emachineshop.com:

import your drawings of fittings into their program or draw directly in theirs, edit and view your parts and get a price automatically.

If you use a lot of similar fittings it can be quite economical.
