for aircraft use what is better suited? the stock subaru pistons or aftermarket forged pistons? the aftermarkets are lighter and ballanced closer to eachother. Im used to building street and race cars so continuous duty is new to me.

I really cant reference to "what does a lycoming or continental use" because its a completely different engine and it won't apply. In asumption the forged pistons would be better because being less suseptable to being damaged from detonation and better for continuous duty.

same question for rods? ballanced oem rods or aftermarket forged rods that are better material and lighter. entire rotating assembly will be ballanced with the new components so weights wont be an issue.
