doing a soob auto conversion, and reading from maxwell propulsions article in the experimenter magazine they say that they use only the ej257 block. because it is a semi closed deck design. claimed to support the cylinder walls better and promote better head gasket sealing. Its used in the turbo model sti. just wondering if this really necessary or if the standard block that comes with the sohc ej25 is adequate.
