I am trying to get a handle on Buckling. about the best discussion I have seen here is "What am I doing wrong with this Eulers beam buckling calculation? " However that was about classic application, stick sticking up and weight on end. How is buckling applied to a spar. Certainly you do not stand the spar on end and put a weight on the other end, (calculation wise) or do you?
