To my understanding a correct length AD rivet should start out extending through the parts to be joined ~1.5 times the rivet diameter. Example: A 1/8" rivet should extend through all of the pieces of material by 3/16" for the shop head to be within proper dimension range when done. I have searched the web hoping to find a chart of the acceptable "grip range" for rivet length selection and haven't found anything. Maybe I didn't search with the right words, but I've tried several searches and found no such rivet length selection table. Does one exist? It would make rivet selection a little simpler.

Thanks, in advance.
