I am building a rotorplane that is something like this. I put the corvair motor on it to see how it fit and will get the seat and firewall in this week.

Do ya thing in a 2 wing
I am building a single seat JE2 with a corvair. I am moving the main gear now to get some of the weight off the nose.
Johnny look under JE2 sorry I started a new tread somehow
Thought the name looked familiar but i can't find the other post, where did you put it originally? I am interested in your Corvair conversion, have you any info about it or did you get a ready to fly motor? Cheers, John![]()

Johnny Go to auto conversions and see the motor. Then go to www.flycorvair.com and you can find all you need about this motor.
I plan on building a two place like the JE2 so I can train out of but for now my time is full.
Brent
The Corvair motor on the frame is for sale $4000

Brent !
Nice looking craft ya got there ! congradulations ! it looks like you got the hardest parts all done !
I am wondering if the Rotor on that beastie
tilts for and aft as well as side to side ?
or does it rely on the elevator and rudder for that ?
that looks to be a super easy way to get 2 people in the air on one engine ! and the storage possabilities are great ! ( one small hole in the back of the garadge and stuff the rotor blade through ! hehehehe )
Out of couriousity what is the rotor Diam ?
and how many Horse power do they recremend for the engine to have ?
Good luck on your project !

Hello Brent
Are you the guy I met at BD?
Looks like a very good design. What engine and blades are you going to use?
Cheers
Sonny

We meet at BD. This gyro is flying but I have to adjust the nose wheel. I will do that this week. It has a 60 HP MZ 202P and 23' rotordyne blades.
Well It's good to hear from you.I see you been buisy, idle hands are the devils workshop huh.
Is the single place machine your own design?I seem to remember something about that but I have sleapt sence then. Please post a pic of the finished machine so we can have a drool.
I've been purty buisy sence we meat at BD but I have been making a new nose gear for the gyro I got from Chuck and almost ready to install. It is a trailing arm knockof off a design I saw on another machine.
Are you plaining any other flyins this year?I'm saveing my quarters to make the trip to Mentone this summer,I was saveing my nickles and dimes but gas has gottin so high I figured I'd better add the guarters.
Congrats on getting the gyro finished.
Regards
Sonny
