I have no idea, but it would be interesting to now how many of these were built. Do you have any idea?

I think there was a Yahoo group, but The Hummel is a modified Windwagon and you have the Teenie Two. There is a bunch out there.

I would like to know what happend to Gary Watson, the designer of the Wind Wagon. Used to, if you wanted to build a Hummel Bird you had to buy the Wind Wagon plans and then buy the plans from Morry Hummel to modify the Wind Wagon into a Hummel Bird. I have Wind Wagon plans and the mod sheets from Hummel. I also have Bill Spring's plans for the Hummel Bird.

There may be some issues with the vertical, and or horizontal tail mounting.
It's an interesting airplane. I've never seen one in person. Try asking questions on some of the Hummel Bird forums.

Just looked and found a Watson Windwagon yahoo group. There is more activity than I thought there would be.

Thanks guys. Found the Yahoo group. Moderated by an Australian, very helpful nice guy. I have no idea how many were built but does not seem to have been many. Appears to be at least 6 under construction at the moment. Pictures on the Yahoo Group site. watsonwindwagon : Watson Windwagon

Windwagon apparently evolved from the Teenie Two and then evolved into the Hummel Bird. As I find out more will keep you posted. Thanks again.

I did a bit of research on this the other night. Apparently Hummel's improvements to the Windwagon were pretty important. You now buy only the plans from them. No need to buy both sets.

Gary died from cancer (I believe) I think in the late 1970s. His family retain the rights to his plans etc and also provided the Yahoo Windwgaon group with some neat pictures of Gary's Windwagon. Plans for the Windwagon are available from the Yahoo site.

Gary Watson's plans were more or less hand drawn and they are OK but nowhere near as slick as the Hummelbird plans. I built most of a Windwagon but used the bulkhead spacing dimensions as on the HB plans - they are almost exactly the same, different bulkhead shapes, of course. All other dimensions are virtually the same.
