Greetings fellow humans

I'm Rahul Sharma 20 y/o from New Delhi, currently in my 3rd year pursuing mechanical engineering at Delhi Technological University. I've always been interested in flight since school days and therefore started building RC aircrafts, I studied a lot of aerodynamics and I was really interested in building a plane at home since my 1st year at college but I couldn't find anyone who could help me in college as nobody was well versed in full scale plane designing and also I was extremely lazy and didn't want to dig the internet for help. Since I was quite good in CFD and 3D modelling and I had shelved my plans for the plane and I wanted to keep working on aerodynamics therefore I joined my college FSAE ( Formula Society Of Automotive Engineers) team and worked to design the body of the racecar. Now after 2 years I have become quite bored by working on a car and have decided to build a plane at home.

I was looking for some sources in the net for initializing my plans and stumbled on this great website.

The situation right now is this
- itching to start work on a homebuilt plane.
- starting totally from scratch with no experience whatsoever in full scale aircraft design.
- Only assets include experience form building RC aircrafts, working on aero devices on a racecar, CFD and 3D modelling, mechanics I studied till now and I've read 'Introduction to flight' by John D Anderson-
- wanted to finish the project by July 2016 if possible

I would prefer to keep the design as original as possible, and manufacturing as cheap as possible. I don't mind hard labour if it results in decreasing cost and complexity. Would love to take cues and help from the community.

Thanks y'all !:)
