Bendix king transponder
Hello all! I have a kt76A (Bendix King) Transponder that I am wiring up to a Dynon Avionics Blind Encoder Converter that then goes to an Efis-d100. Anyway I am having trouble with the wire placement on the KT76A I have been to all the sites, including http://www.aeroelectric.com/Installation_Data/ and http://www.aeroelectric.com/Installa...6A-76C-78A.pdf to get the wiring guide, the problem is the numbering does not match up! Using their convention the bottom of the fitting would be (right to left) A B C D E F G H I J K L and the top would be (right to left again) 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 (top works out perfectly) but they say it goes to N (top part) what letters do I skip? OR am I even doing this correctly? Thanks for you help |

Letter "I" is typically not used because it is indistinguishable from the number "1". And last letter should be "M" not "N". Try this link. It got me the a PDF of the full Honeywell Bendix/King KT76A/78A installation manual. http://bomar.biz/request.php?1714 |

Hi Dave I am trying to find a KT76A installation manual also and tried to follow the link that you posted above with no success. The web page at Bomar is protected and I dont know how to get in?? Has anyone figured this out yet? I too am wiring a KT76A to a Dynon D-100 and I am using Dynons Encoder Converter. I don't understand the numbering/lettering on the King plug. On page 7-34 of the Dynon manual it tells me to connect the: Yellow to A1 (on the King plug) Green to A2 White/Blue to A4 Blue to B1 Orange to B2 etc... Which pin is A1? or A2, A4, B1 etc...?? This may be simple but I'm just not getting it!! I can see what pin A could be. Or I can count and find pin 7. But how are they combining them to get something like A4? Thanks |

PM me with your email address and I'll email you the KT76 manual in PDF that I have. There is a drawing in there where King numbers the wires with A1 as they connect to a King encoder, etc and shows how those connect to the actual pins of the KT76 connector. The guys at Dynon must have used the wrong set of identifiers in their diagram.
