Pereira GP-5, the best wooden plane ever!!!

I've heard about GP-5 before, but today I saw it for the first time, I (familiar with Pereira GP-4) was expecting a nice airplane but this one is mind blowing. Can't find words to describe it, What a Bird!!. Now we need some plans.

Just a few links with some info.

I would truly love to see that engine installation. If this new class becomes popular enough that it is watched by lots of people on tv, then the prize and sponsorship money could lead to all of those reliable PSRU's we all would like to see. That engine sounds great!

For those that are interested, she has a aluminum chevy with 448 cubic inches and over 500 hp behind a geschwender PSRU and cut down Cessna 421 prop.

You should'a seen the Pond Racer. I was at Reno '92 and at one point they took the cowls off one engine. Pulled them, and the shape of the area hardly changed at all. Completely packed, right out to the cowling skins.

No idea about the MTOW, but wouldn't that come close to a VTOL capability?

I noticed two things right off -

It appears to be a mechanical RSA type injection system (which is encouraging, to say the least)

As a naturally aspirated engine, he is leaving a lot of power “on the table” with those shorty exhaust stacks. He has a real packaging nightmare there, but I’ll bet the engine would pick up 40+ HP with a proper set of headers.

Maybe just a few more parts compared to Gp-5 , more here Pond Racer I didn't know that cowls in the Pond were structural parts, now I know why there were some many screws/bolts on them.
