It's official, I am now the owner of Clutton FRED G-BMSL, which was built by a retired WWII RAF bomber pilot and first flew in 1990.

See Clutton FRED - Clutton FRED G-BMSL is for sale!, When is a Luton, not a Luton...When its a FRED of course! and Clutton FRED G-BMSL on Flickr.

My new FRED is in England and I am in Kenya, which is not ideal, so FRED will remain on the UK register and in storage for the next 6-12 months until I figure out to what country my work will take me next summer.

I have a European microlight license, but this will also force me to get serious about finishing my PPL as FRED is a little too heavy to count as a single-seat microlight.

Cheers,

Matthew
