A new diesel aircraft engine is being designed and built by me. It is a flat four two stroke of 212 cubic inches. Horsepower will be about 200 at 2800 rpm. The overall weight will be as light as possible. The current weight of an IO360 is the heaviest. It is based on the detroit 53 series. Spark plug life will be very good. (HaHa) Projected overhaul will be far in excess of 2000 hours. The crankcase, cylinders, and heads are machined aluminum. I am looking for well used pieces of a detoit diesel 53 to use for prototypng. Like a sleeve, piston, head, etc. If you have such things taking up space , please tell how much you want for them. Fuel for this engine can be #1,#2,#3,#4,JP4,or used fish cooking oil.
My Email is [email protected] if you need it.:gig:
