Thought I'd put this in Hanger Flying since it doesn't pertain to a specific project.
I've always thought that the F-86 had a small tail volume. Is this an illusion or a correct perception? If correct, then how can it get away with such a small horizontal tail? Are the ailerons used to supplement pitch control?
