Hi everyone!
I have in my possession three different 12V fans similar in size. I need to determine the one that generates the most air flow to be used in my project.
The idea that I'm pursuing at the moment is to determine the difference in weight for each of them in ON vs. OFF state and then calculate CFM of each fan.
Do you guys think this is the easiest and reliable approach?
Fan 1:
propeller diameter: 15"
dead weight: 5.2lb
energized weight: 6.55lb
weight difference: 1.35lb
Fan 2:
propeller diameter: 12"
dead weight: 5.29lb
energized weight: 6.88lb
weight difference: 1.59lb
Fan 3:
still in the mail
Judging by the fact that Fan 2 is smaller and generates slightly larger force, it appears to be more efficient, but I'd like to calculate the CFM of the fan. Do you guys know how to do it?
