Hi folks.

Excuse me for my absence recently.

I heard somewhere (possibly from PFA Engineer here in UK) that an alternative construction technique to GRP/foam (like those used on Rutan Quickie for instance) was to face both sides of flat or 2 axis curved foam surface with lite-ply? Surely this would be easier on the elbow grease than 6 weeks of rubbing down? I'm talking 'mouldless' construction btw.

Is this a veritable method either for skinning wings or sandwich construction in other places like fusalage sides etc?
And is 'flox' needed to bond the skins to the styrofoam?

Dave
