PSRU

Common sense tells us to understand the complexity of the eccentric motion of the internal combustion engine and make a PSRU that can handle them.

Uncommon sense says how, do we eliminate the bounce spring and twisting, that takes place as the result of combustion pressures.

The locomotive engine is grounded by its heavy weight holding it in perfect synchronization when it is turning its drive wheels along the steel tracks.

The automobile engine becomes grounded when highway driving and to a lesser extent during stop and go conditions.

The boat engine is never grounded.

The aircraft engine is a circus juggling act.

As far as the internal combustion engine is concerned our technology is back in the days when all clockwork had to use a pendulum to work and no clockwork would keep time at sea. We are still waiting for a Harrison to invent the balance spring assembly.

We have to make a continuous internal duplication of railway track. This can be done with a sun gear attached to the driveshaft with three or more planetary gears encircled with an interior gear that is attached firmly to the engine block.

The PSRU uses the center of the planet gears to drive the propeller.
