Hi,
Over in the small 4 stroke engine discussion group (on Yahoo) there are a lot of guys flying behind Briggs, Generac, Honda, Kohler etc engines. From 20hp to about 35hp. These engines are extremely cheap, simple and above all, are designed to opertate for extended periods under max load.
No wonder the guys like them.
I've been looking at these motors for a bit - and although they aren't cheap here in New Zealand (about $5,000) - they can be got for a song in the US.
Anyone know where I could find a good used Briggs 35hp? Vertical or horisontal shaft is OK. My target is to build the Razorback Solo for under $10k all up.
Regards,
Duncan
