Hello all. I'm looking for a small 4-stroke engine, roughly 30~35 hp for a DA-11/Cri Cri type design. Engines like the Kohler ECH-749 and Subaru Robin EH72. (750cc size to 1,000cc) How much weight can be trimmed from the "published" engine weight? (realistic flying weight) Any technical issues to take note of? (Don't use brand X, they have plastic cams..., brand Y has a forged crank....) Briggs and Kohler are common and have lots of support on the air boat and tractor pull markets. Generac and Subaru Robin seem a bit harder to locate and not much aftermarket. Honda? Kawasaki? I like the Kohler ECH-749: electronic fuel injection with closed loop system. Thoughts and experiences from your engine conversion are greatly appreciated!
