Working on a concept for a low-cost composite design, three related questions...

1. Are there any issues with cutting cured epoxy prepreg (whether fiberglass, carbon, kevlar, etc.) on a CNC routing table like plywood and other sheet materials and, if so, using what cutting tool (water jet, laser, etc.)?

2. I am assuming that CNC cutting of uncured expoxy prepreg might be problematic, is that the case?

2. Does anyone know a source for high-quality cured composite sheets (again, might be fiberglass, carbon, kevlar, etc.) at reasonable cost?

Without going into the details, the concept is basically to create a composite aircraft using only flat sheet materials with notches and tabs to fit together, much like a balsa model kit.

Cheers,

Matthew
