Buddy of mine has been modifying Lancair Legacies for Reno racing. In between working on race planes he designed and built this little guy from the ground up. He's planing on selling it in some kind of kit form down the road. It's 90% carbon fiber with an empty weight of just under 500 lbs including oil. It went for it's first flight last weekend, I made the trip out to the desert to shoot some photos and videos of the occasion.

he's also got a website going for it now... he'll be adding more information as he expands the flight envelope.
