Hello all,
I am in the process of considering starting a modified Volksplane VP-2 project. I've built a VP-1 to near completion a few years back so I'm familiar with the construction.

I'm trying to determine a rough weight and balance so I can figure out the placement of various items.

Essentially what I'm considering is doing a tandem, A-65 or C-85 powered VP-2.
The passenger would be behind the pilot, and the Continental up front would help to offset the weight of the passenger. How can I test on paper what exact changes various things such as passenger weight and fuel load will have on the CG?
The method I've always used in Cessna's was to add the weights and arms etc.. But how do I find the weight and arm of things I haven't built yet like the fuselage, tail, wing, etc...?
Hopefully what I'm asking makes sense. Thanks for the help
