I'm trying to select my prop. With about 180hp from my rotary engine, AR-5 like area-rule streamlining, an underbelly P-51 style cooling system, and tandem seating, I'm thinking my cruise speed will be around 200mph with a cruise prop.

It would make sense to pick a cruse prop. But safety is a big concern to me and I want to have a bit of pull to help me out of trouble when I’m low and slow. So I’m thinking a climb prop would be more prudent.

How much would a climb prop hurt my cruise speed? I suppose I’ll just have to try them out for the best compromise. I plan on carving them myself, so I won’t mind displaying the looser up on the wall.
