I am planning a Wittman spring leg landing gear for my bird, have gone through Pazmany's book on Landing Gear, wrote a program, designing the gadget, using the EAA program, etc. Lacking a Landing Gear section of the forum, it lands here...
Now who to build the legs? Does anybody know of a shop that cuts out 4340 steel plate, does the appropriate machining, hot bends it, and heat treats it? How about suggestions for how to find a place that does that sort of thing?
If they are in SE Michigan or Northern OH, it would be a plus.
