Flying Vertical Stab

The idea for an all flying vertical just came to me after reading a few posts re: flying horizontal stabs (stabilators).

Has any one heard of this being done.

A quick google "flying tail" only came up with some WWI Fokkers and a movie about a horse, and I dont have time to investigate further right now.

Any reasons not to do it?
Asside from enforcing some active yaw control any way. (you should be paying attention to the rudder anyway)

It would seem to provide many benefits ie. enhanced yaw authority, lower parts count, etc.

Any ideas as to why it hasn't taken off (pun intended)?
If it has where can I get some more info?
