I for one didn't respond because there are damn few ultralight biplanes out there. That and the fact that ultralights aren't really my cup of tea.

One of the few ultralight bipes that I recall was the Hyperlight - a scaled down version of the Hyperbipe. I knew only one individual that had one of these but he loved it. However I'm not sure if the kit or the plans are available any longer.

Another lightweight biplane you could look at is the Micro-Mong
It's a bit smaller than the Acro-Lite and completely available as a kit.
'Mong' does state that the Micro-Mong is not aerobatic, but.....

There's also the Ragwing motorbipe, as well as the Special.
I have the plans for the 'bipe, but there are some issues with them (poorly printed pages, incomplete info, etc.)

I know this is an old thread but how about The Raceair Zipster? FAR 103 LEGAL and designed by Ed Fisher!

Plans available on Ebay. Subkits From Hart Aero are supposed to be cheap! They say they will be posting them any day now.

P.S. I think I finally found my plane...

I don't think the Stratos qualifies as ultralight (or even biplane?).
