Hi, Has anyone ever heard of someone converting a direct injection 2 stroke outboard to a airplane engine? These motors such as Nissan TLDI, Evinrude E-Tec, Mercury Optimax and many more are as efficent as a 4 stroke and dont rely on the crankcase oiling as conventional 2 strokes. On boats they are probably more reliable and lighter, just dont know how they would be on an aircraft and Im not experienced enough to be a test pilot for one.So if anyone tries it let me know. Thanks HP
