Hello all, and happy holidays,
I have been considering building a Mitchell U2. I just got off the phone with Richard Avalon. He mentioned using a Rotax 447 as a power source. So naturally I went to ebay. There is a listing for one there with a starting bid of $1350.00.
See below:
ROTAX 447 CDI w/2.58 gearbox 32hrs. Total Time
I checked compression on both cylinders and they both read 145 psi. This engine starts right up and runs GREAT!!!.

I was just wondering what you guys think of this engine, what you think of the gearbox ratio, and what these engines generally sell for?
The listing ends in 2 days, and has 0 bids.
Thank you,
Brad
