Hello all,
Hirth F-23. When I bought it from Quicksilver (attached to an MX) the CHT sensors were installed on one spark plug for each cylinder.
The NGK plugs have a "washer" installed on them. From all I have read so far, your supposed to replace that washer with the EHT sensor ring.
However, in the original factory/well known QS dealer installation, the plug's washer was left on.

When I replaced the plugs and tried to take the "washer" off the plug, it would not come off. I felt I would strip the threads if I tried.

So, is this an exception to the rule? I read that installing it this way can cause leakage, but in the 25 hours I have run the engine there has been none. It's been running well, temps in range.

Thanks for any help!
Joe
