Will changing just the main jet affect the EGTs only at full throttle or will it effect mid-range temps too?

My engine is currently running just a tad on the cool side and I'd like to lean it out just a bit to help reduce carbon build-up. I'm aware that I can move the clip on the jet needle as well but that doesn't seem to affect the temps at the top end very much. I'd like the mid-range (3500-5000 RPM) temps to stay the same but increase my temps at the high end. (5000-6500 RPM)

Currently my mid-range temps are around 1150 and my high end temps are around 1000.

This is on a 1987 dual carb Rotax 503.
