Hi all please forgive me but I know there are some very knowledgeable guys on here and I would like your views.

I have an old British 1960s motor cycle that I am about to stat using...a weekend play thing...its a 175cc single cylinder.

The hand book says run it at 25/1...dont forget this handbook was written 50+ years ago.

I am tempted to run it on the same 50/1 fuel I use in my Rotax 503 at 50/1 with its semi synthetic oil.

The only bearings that is lubricated by the fuel is the conrod big and small end..the little end is a needle roller bearing and the big end is a ball bearing type.

What do you think??
