Ii have been flying ultralights for years and would like to get a few questions answered, I have always run rotax engines on every ultralight and have always used quicksilver premium multi-use oil @40.1 mixing ratio,I have never had an engine failure but I constantly have people telling me I'm using the wrong oil, does anyone have any input on this matter, also the only fuel I have available is 93 octane premium with 5% ethanol, I can get avgas from our local airport but have been told not to use, any suggestions , last question, I have a single place t bird with a 503 and a two place t bird with a blue head 582 both planes run great at 5000 rpms, I have been told that running at that low rpms is bad on the engine, is this true? I would like an honest opinion from someone who knows, what's the absolute best fuel to run, best oil, and will running at lower rpms hurt.
