This is my plan to convert a 4 stroke to a 2 stroke.
1. Get a 4 stroke
2. Drill exhaust ports on cylinder just above the piston's BDC
3. Get rid of all push rods/cam gear/rockers/carburetor (out the door; don't need them; throttle is controlled by Miller Cycle)
4. Replace intake/exhaust valves with electromagnetic actuator valves and make them both intake (low power actuators will do as in a 2 stroke, the exhaust creates a partial vacuum in the cylinder during the scavenging process and the positive pressure seals the valve during compression and combustion)
5. Add an impeller blower for force induction (this is driven by the crank except during start up)
6. Drill a hole on the cylinder head to accommodate a fuel injector (fuel injector does not need high pressure because fuel is delivered right after exhaust port/intake valves are closed where the pressure in the cylinder is still low)
7. Write an application of a small computer to control all of the above.
You can easily turn a 100hp 4 into 150 2.
That's it folks. What do you think?
