I have reasonable amount of experience maintaining and flying rotax 2 strokes. But I'm kinda stumped. I have a friend with a 503 on a challenger who can't seem to get a pulse pump to work. The lift isn't far from the tank to the carbs. Engine seems to run fine with the ticker pump running but will not run on the pulse pump. He rebuilt his pump and then bought another pump still no luck. We pulled the pulse line off and motored the engine over with the electric start and couldn't feel any pulse. It is a used engine and sat for a while between owners. New carb sockets gaskets and he just rebuilt the carbs. Any suggestions?
