Does anyone have any current information about the 'Rad-Cam' engine? It is essentially a multi-cyl 2-popper with an eliptical 'crank'. I have been noodling about with a similar design before I found the Rad-Cam during a patent search. My design is a similar but I think different in a couple of key areas.
Basics are 6-cyl radial, common dual throw crank, ALL cyls in same plane. I am starting to machine the prototype parts as I figure out things like ignition and fuel metering. Will it work? I don't know - but it is fun messing about in my shop!
Also designing U/L using info in Herbert Beaujon's neat How to Build Ultralights. A worthwhile buy as it includes simple to understand design info.
