I live on a 44 foot sailboat near West Palm Beach
I am connecting my wiring up to my Kawasaki 440 fan cooled engine. This one has a single unit CDI/coil. The wiring is different than my liquid cooled 440 which has a separate CDI unit. It would be a great help if someone would look at the attached photo of my existing wiring and tell me which ones should connect where. I also would like to know where I should get my Tachometer pulse. I am assuming that the two green regulator/rectifier wires should go to the two Yellow wires coming from the lighting coil: the brown stopper wire with the ring terminal goes to ground: The Black with white goes to the black from the CDI/Coil: The Blue and Black from the stopper goes to the ignition shutoff and or kill switch; and that the Brown from the engine coils goes to ground. Does this sound correct? Any help would be appreciated.048.jpg440 electrical components 003.jpg440 electrical components 002.jpg
