If they put it in mass production, in the little K-cars so popular in Japan for tax reasons, there would be a flood of cheap ultraefficient two cycle diesels, freeing us from the greedy clutches of Rotax and Co. By the way, in a typical K-car this engine has a fuel consumption of more than 100 mpg. This kind of fuel efficiency would be spectacular even compared to that of four cycle diesel or gas engines, compared to the ****ty efficiency and oil burning of two cycle gas engines it's a real eye opener.
