    Smile big mac

    hi there
    i live in south africa
    i use 72hp + 90hp mac's
    great engines
you need to have a holley carb and use the correct timing
there is a company in the usa that does all the parts info, basically all you need:
    HAROLD SMITH @ R&D ENGINEERING
    9035272006
I AM CHANGING TO A CDI UNIT AS WELL
THIS IS STILL THE MOST POWERFULL ENGINE FOR IT'S WEIGHT!

    hi there
i live in south africa, and am currently working on my bensen
    i have couple of 72 hp mac's plus a newly rebuild 90hp
i am putting on a very good prop from a local guy
matching the prop to the engine is very important, plus a good electronic ignition and two good fuel pumps
these engines usually failed due to bad mag's or bad fuel pumps
my experience is that facet pumps and lectronic ignition made it a much better engine
    stick to the engine temp's!!!
    just my 2 cents worth

I am needing a prop for my Mac motor, can you give me an adress or web site for you prop maker?
I have installed a new 1940 Holly carb. on the Mac but have yet to run it.
I have also repainted it and am making a new nose gear for the gyro. Here's apic of the new paint job, before and after.

Wow nice looking prop. I will send for the info from them shortly.
Are you flying you Bensen yet? I would like to see some pix of it.
While at the PRA convention at Mentone I got to look over a Sycamore gyro, they are also in South Africa. She is a marvellouse machine with all the right stuff. Here's a pic.
Thanx for the lead on the prop.

    Regards
    Sonny

Yeah I am still here. And my Mac is pulling me around the skies theses days. I have done a lot of experimenting on the Mac, so much so it would take to long to tell all here. So if you want to know more visit my website at www.geocities.com/cgifly2 for full report.

A very informative page there skeet. Love the engine. Perhaps one day I will find a use for it too. Light weight is the way to go. Thanks again for the info.

    Re: Old Mac Man

MAC's have never had a very solid reputation? Issues with the ports and ring area where they meet? Just never heard much good about those babies? I would think more options with better track records would be a safer choice.
